What the company did
Geosite was a SaaS provider of geospatial intelligence for property and casualty insurance companies, led by CEO Rachel Olney. Its Ascend product aggregated and visualized geospatial data to help insurers quantify and manage portfolio risk from natural catastrophe events. In April 2024 Descartes Labs, a Santa Fe, New Mexico provider of geospatial analytics and AI solutions, acquired all of Geosite's operating assets; Olney stayed on to lead the insurance technology business within Descartes Labs.
