01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Aporia was a machine learning observability and AI guardrails platform founded in 2019 by CEO Liran Hason and CTO Alon Gubkin. It gave data scientists and ML teams tools to monitor, investigate and improve models in production — detecting data drift, bias, data integrity issues and performance degradation — and later added real-time AI guardrails against hallucinations, prompt injection, PII leakage and toxicity. The company raised $30 million in total, including a $25 million Series A in 2022 from investors such as Tiger Global, TLV Partners, Samsung Next and Vertex Ventures, and served customers including Lemonade, DoorDash, MunichRe, Bosch and Sixt.
