01 / WHAT IT BUILT
What the company did
Muninn was a Copenhagen-based AI-driven cybersecurity startup founded in 2016 by Andreas Wehowsky and Lars Thrane. Its platform used artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect cyber threats in near real-time by finding suspicious anomalies in computer networks, enabling companies to protect critical digital assets and infrastructures — with AI Detect and AI Prevent technologies sold to law firms, maritime, airlines and logistics customers (including a win over legacy vendors for the Danish Health Authority). In August 2022 Muninn raised a €2.5 million seed round led by Luminar Ventures (with PreSeed Ventures), and on October 1, 2024 it was acquired by Danish cybersecurity vendor Logpoint, joining its SIEM-based cyber defense platform with AI-driven network detection and response.
